Gabriela Nunes is a leading hairstylist who created her career from scratch with a strong minimal atitude towards her craft. Her top-notch service, luxurious yet minimal, demanded for a matching brand identity.
We soon decided that typography was going to be the best possible maestro to conduct this branding process. We looked at drawings from Bodoni and Didot to better encapsulate what makes typography refined and elegant, as well as other famous monograms from haute couture maisons. Some of our references also gravitated around fashion icons and magazines such as early Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar.
We defined Gabriela’s contemporary-chic style in a diagonal gesture, that was translated to the visual identity with a visual cut — that stylises letterforms and space itself. This graphical element, paired together with the typography and a color palette of black + warm greys create a distinctive look for packaging, stationary and salon fronts.
